We believe and promote interactivity at Coyote Cal's and what better way to interact than to party with cool people from all points of the globe. Our great sound system, with 25 CD changer, cassette player and pounding speakers is mounted inside the hostel and outside, at the Barefoot Cantina. Sure to get your feet tapping and your body moving. We have a complete selection of music from Rock to Blues, Reggae to Rap and everything in between. We have popular music in our library from countries around the world, to make you feel at home in paradise. How do you spell party?

Our own private little beach, with soft silky sand is as close as the front door. Dance the night away in front of our fantastic airbrushed underwater scene created by famed Mexican artist Armando Alonzo Gonzales. Senor Gonzales' work is known from Ensenada, to Mazatlan to Cancun. He has graced the walls of Hussongs Papas and Beer, Rockodile and Senor Frogs and we are proud to be a part of this gifted artists repertoire.

bonfire on the beach Coyote Cal's also has a growing collection of musical instruments, so pick one up and get in on the action. Picture yourself around a giant campfire under a star filled sky. The only sounds are the crackling of the fire, the unrelenting surf as it breaks on the rocks and a chorus of seals barking back up harmonies, as someone strums a familiar melody.

Day trips are planned to Half-moon Bay and Sunset beach, just three and a half kilometers from the hostel. Stunning views, great beaches and miles of dunes await you. If it's body boarding or surfing you enjoy then you're at the right place. With an excellent selection of right, left and beach breaks, the conditions are superb for long-boarding as well as carving your initials in waves that sometimes can reach heights of up to twelve feet! The beaches are not crowded and often they belong only to us. Line-ups are unheard of in this neck of the woods, so whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro (and we've had em from all over the world), grab your stick and wet-suit, or we'll be happy to rent you one, wax it down and hit the waves
