Castro’s owner, Fernando Castro, passed away in summer 2024. Sport fishing at Castro’s is going on as usual; however, many are concerned on how his death occurred. We believe that it is very safe to charter a boat. However, we strongly recommend you do not stay the night in the Castro’s area. Coyote Cals would be a much safer choice. Cost is as follows: Monday through Sunday: $350/panga with up to (5) persons. Deep Sea Fishing,(15 mile from port): $400/panga, Tuna fishing $600/panga, up to (4) persons. Consider that you have to bring your own bedding if you stay at Castro's. Castro’s owner, Fernando Castro, passed away in summer 2024. Sport fishing at Castro’s is going on as usual; however, many are concerned on how his death occurred. We believe that it is very safe to charter a boat. However, we strongly recommend you do not stay the night in the Castro area. Coyote Cals would be a much safer choice. Castro's younger skippers tend to be lazy and only want to fish near shore and not lisen to the clients request to go to deeper or better fishing areas. When you make your booking you should be clear on where you want to fish and get a committment from the booking agent that you will go there. You may have to pay an extra fee if you travel more than (15) miles from the port.
